Piggotts Health and Safety
The management and staff at Piggotts are committed to maintaining a safe working environment. As part of this commitment Piggotts has a well established Health and safety committee which has been formed by employees from each sector of the Piggotts business.
The Health and safety committee meet on a regular basis, where they discuss and implement points raised by the workforce in relation to improving the working environment and reducing the risks associated with their work tasks.
Piggotts have and continue to invest heavily in training all staff to be competent in their chosen field of operation. Training courses completed include but not limited to;
• Working at height 2005
• Risk assessment
• Safe Use of Ladders
• IPAF mobile elevated work platforms
• Manual handling
• NVQ training
To assist in maintaining safety in this area of operation the management team at Piggotts have developed and implemented a range of safe systems of work and method statements. These combined with site specific risk assessment enable some of the more complex installations to be completed with minimal risks to Piggotts employees and our clients legal responsibilities.
Our accreditation to the Safe Contractors scheme is further proof of the commitment to reduce the risks involved in all areas of our operation and ensure that safety is maintained.
Our installations are regularly and randomly inspected by our group Health and Safety officer to maintain the standards which have been set to exceed the minimum statutory requirements.
