Piggotts announces major new investment

Piggotts has today announced that it is to invest £500k in new equipment ahead of a period of unprecedented growth for the company’s marquees division.

Despite the natural surge in Olympics based business, Piggotts, a leading provider of marquees, creative displays, Christmas lighting and flags and banners, has looked beyond 2012 and will invest in the additional stock as part of a long-term approach to its business strategy.

This move will aim to meet the increasing demands of new and existing clients, as well as a number of long-term partnerships that Piggotts has developed. These include a number of public sector clients and events such as the Suffolk Show.

The investment will pay for over 6000m² of cassette flooring, 600m of ABS walls, 25 sets of doors and over 1000m² of structures, adding to its already impressive portfolio of equipment including marquee frames up to 25m wide, all of which are held at its 12 acre site in Ongar, just outside London.

The marquees division provides services ranging from private parties, corporate exhibitions and large scale country shows and services a number of high-profile events including The Isle of Wight Rock Festival, Twickenham and The Leander Club, Henley.

Lee Harvey, managing director, Piggotts, said: “By investing half a million pounds in new equipment we are not only able to meet the demands of new clients, but we can also offer assurance to our long-standing partners that we can supply marquees for their growing needs.

“Our long-term approach has been key to our success for a number of years, and we look forward to welcoming new clients on board during and after the Olympic period.”
